Here at WMMT, we care. We’ve all been through a lot in these hills and hollers, and we know many of you have watched the waters rise. We also know you all care—just like we do.

If you are someone who helps people in times of climate disasters, like flooding, tornadoes, hurricanes, or wildfires, we want you to join our Emergency Preparedness Cohort.

The goal of this Cohort is to streamline how we share information between WMMT and groups that provide services in times of need, ensuring quick communication to the community during emergencies.
When a weather event occurs, the cohort will work as a listserv that will connect all members with WMMT and each other. We will send out a call for information and folks can respond in the email thread or start a new thread on their own. We will also meet quarterly in person with an online option to discuss how information is shared during times of disaster, what information we should have ready on deck, and record new Public Service Announcements about services that your group offers.

We believe that it is best to be proactive instead of only reactive. Help us keep the safety and well-being of our local communities at heart by supporting the building of our Emergency Preparedness Cohort! There is a form to fill out if interested and to select preferences for our next meeting at this link: Emergency Preparedness Cohort Registration
